By signing and clicking “I Accept,” you hereby authorize Connect Collision to perform the repairs and services described in this Repair Authorization and any subsequently authorized supplements or additional repairs.
You agree that Connect Collision is not responsible for loss of personal property left in the vehicle or for loss or damage resulting from fire, theft, weather, or other causes beyond Connect Collision’s reasonable control, to the extent permitted by law. Connect Collision is not responsible for delays caused by parts availability, shipping delays, insurance processing, manufacturer delays, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
You authorize Connect Collision and its employees or agents to operate, move, road-test, inspect, scan, calibrate, and otherwise operate the vehicle as reasonably necessary for diagnosis, repair, testing, quality control, and completion of the authorized repairs.
PAYMENT RESPONSIBILITY: You agree that you are ultimately responsible for all amounts due under this Repair Authorization, including authorized repairs, parts, labor, applicable insurance deductibles, customer-pay amounts, authorized supplemental repairs, and other lawful and authorized charges not paid by an insurance company or other third party. Insurance approval or an agreement by an insurance company to pay any portion of the repairs does not relieve you of responsibility for amounts properly due under this Repair Authorization.
POSSESSORY LIEN: Pursuant to Texas Property Code §70.001 and other applicable Texas law, Connect Collision may have a possessory lien on the vehicle for amounts due under the repair contract and may retain possession of the vehicle until amounts secured by the lien are paid in full.
If amounts properly due remain unpaid, Connect Collision may exercise and enforce its lien rights in accordance with applicable Texas law, including any applicable notice, filing, waiting-period, sale, and/or disposition requirements. Nothing in this Repair Authorization authorizes Connect Collision to sell or dispose of a vehicle except in accordance with applicable law.
STORAGE: After completion of repairs and notification that the vehicle is ready for pickup, Connect Collision will provide up to three (3) calendar days of complimentary storage. After the complimentary period expires, a daily storage fee may be assessed until the vehicle is picked up and all amounts due are paid, subject to applicable Texas law.
COLLECTION AND LEGAL COSTS: Agree that, to the extent permitted by law and this agreement, you are responsible for reasonable attorneys’ fees, court costs, collection costs, and other recoverable expenses incurred by Connect Collision in enforcing this agreement or collecting amounts properly due.
ARBITRATION: Controversies or claims arising out of or relating to this Repair Authorization shall be resolved by binding arbitration under Texas law in Harris County, Texas. Claims shall be arbitrated individually and shall not be consolidated with claims of another party, except as otherwise required by applicable law. Judgment on an arbitration award may be entered in a court having jurisdiction.
CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT: By signing and clicking “I Accept,” you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms of this Repair Authorization. You specifically acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for your insurance deductible and any other amounts properly due under this Repair Authorization that are not paid by your insurance company or another third party. You further understand that Connect Collision may retain possession of your vehicle, as permitted by Texas law, until amounts secured by its possessory lien are paid in full.
